It all has begun at the end of the ice age…

 

And then came humans and their needs.

And then the atlantic climate and its wind and rain.

And so a cuddly blanket of a little ancient rootless but enduring sphagnum has originated…

One of the three last places of this kind on our nice planet, the High Fens, a Belgium sister of Siberian and Canadian raised bog family…

… at the highest point of Belgium with all the 694 m above sea level and its silence, indeed if you don’t hear me falling in a bog. 🙂

All in all, a nice witnessing of the whiteness and its language…
